Spacetime

Spacetime compares the human and photographic view of time and space. Through long-exposure photographs of starlight, the project captures dynamic, abstract traces that reveal the Earth's rotation and the vastness of the universe, challenging our linear understanding of time. These celestial images are paired with fleeting moments of human activity set against iconic architectural landmarks.

Futuristic ideas are presented through black and white photographs that reference the past. The world without colour differs from our perception and provides a powerful contrast between the mystery of the cosmos and the transience of human life. By bringing together these two perspectives, Spacetime presents the camera's vision of reality that merges the infinite with the immediate. Shot in diverse locations around the world, including England, Wales, France, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China, Indonesia and Costa Rica the series invites viewers to contemplate life and death within a universe that is both immense and intimately connected to our experience of time and space.
